John Busch resides in Chapin, South Carolina. He is a Board member from the second district whose term began in 2006. He founded EnGenCore, LLC and co-founded Selah Genomics, Inc. Mr. Busch received a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the College of Charleston and an International MBA from the University of South Carolina. He is also a graduate of the USAF Air War College where he received a Masters degree in Strategic Studies. He served in the SC Air National Guard as an F-16 mission commander and Instructor Pilot. Colonel Busch was Commander of the 169th OSF charged with the mission of organizing and training for worldwide employment in combat and support operations. Currently he serves on The Humanities CouncilSC Board of Directors and on the Advisory Board of the Challenger Learning Center of Richland County School District One.
