Pay Your Bill
Online, in person or by mail, there are many easy and convenient ways to pay your College of Charleston bill.
Whichever option best suits your situation and circumstances, remember to stay current with your payments. Student accounts that are not current are subject to holds (registration and transcript), late fees or the cancellation of your schedule.
eBills are available exclusively through MyPortal.
Students
- Students can access their bill by logging into MyPortal using their user ID and password (click on the eBill tile).
Parents & Authorized Users
- Authorized users can also access the student bill in eBill by using their unique user ID and password.
Adding an Authorized User
- Students may add an authorized user through MyPortal>eBill>My Profile>Authorized Users.

Pay Online by eCheck (no transaction charge)
eCheck (electronic check) payments are available online with no transaction charge. You can make a payment using a valid checking or savings account on eBill by entering your routing and account numbers.
The payment is applied instantly to your account.

Pay Online by Credit Card (2.95% convenience fee for each transaction )
The College of Charleston accepts online credit card payments using Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.
A 2.95% non-refundable convenience fee will be assessed at the time of the transaction when a credit or debit card is used.
Credit card payments are accepted for online and in-person payments only.

Payment Plan
The College of Charleston offers a payment plan if you need to pay your balance in installments over the course of the semester.
A one-time administrative payment-plan fee is assessed for each semester you enroll in the plan.
To participate, you will need to sign up for a payment plan prior to the semester due date.

Third Party Payers (529 Plans, SCTPP, Out-of-State Prepaid, Payment Vouchers)
529 Plans
- Contact your 529 plan directly to request that funds be distributed to College of Charleston.
- A statement including Student Name, ID number and payment mailing address is available online through eBill.
- Please allow two to four weeks for payment to process with a 529 account, including payment-plan installments.
South Carolina Tuition Prepaid Program (SCTPP)
- Bring a copy of your South Carolina Tuition Prepaid Identification Card to the Treasurer's Office. The SCTPP credit will be applied on the next eBill.
- SCTPP covers the costs of tuition, library fee and technology fee. SCTPP does not pay course fees and housing/dining costs.
- SCTPP credits will be applied to each fall and spring semester automatically unless we are asked not to apply the credits.
Out-of-State Tuition Prepaid Plans
- If you would like the Treasurer's Office to bill an out-of-state tuition prepaid plan, please email a request to treasurer@cofc.edu each semester. Our office cannot bill a tuition prepaid plan without permission from the student and/or authorized user.
- If you plan to use another state's program (i.e. Florida Prepaid, Texas Tomorrow, College Illinois!, MPACT, PACT, KAPT, etc.)
- Please notify them that you or your student will be attending College of Charleston each semester/year, depending on their requirements.
- The Treasurer's Office will bill the plans based on the information provided on the roster/voucher. Please note that some plans do not provide a roster/voucher each semester.
- If you do not want to use your plan, please email treasurer@cofc.edu to request that we do not bill them.
Payment Vouchers (Military, Employer, Vocational Rehabilitation, etc.)
- Provide a copy of your voucher to the Treasurer's Office.
- If a voucher is course specific, please notify the Treasurer's Office immediately of any changes to your course schedule.

In-person payments are accepted during normal business hours at the Treasurer's Office.

Apply Financial Aid (Scholarships, Loans & Grants)
Financial aid funds will automatically apply to your student account once you have completed all financial aid requirements.
If the charges are greater than the financial aid, the remaining balance can be paid through eBill in MyPortal.
