Demetria Noisette Clemons is a resident of Columbia, South Carolina, and was elected to the Board in 2004 to represent the sixth district. She is a retired administrator. She has over 34 years of experience in education having served as Principal Specialist, Principal, Grant Coordinator, Counselor and Teacher. She currently works as an educational consultant in the areas of accreditation, data analysis and educational administration. She was instrumental in initiating efforts in the offering of a College of Charleston certificate program in Urban Planning at the graduate level. Noisette Clemons is an alumna of the College of Charleston with a B.S. degree in Psychology and is a lifetime member of the College of Charleston Alumni Association. She earned a M.Ed. from The Citadel and has taken additional courses with American University and Clemson University.
