The Cougar Card is free for all College of Charleston employees. If you're an employee also enrolled in classes, your Cougar Card will reflect your staff status rather than student identification. Please continue to use your employee card as your campus card.

  • Faculty/Staff Meal Plan and Dining Dollars

    The Faculty/Staff Meal Plan provides 25 meals to use on campus anywhere Meal Taps are accepted. This includes our all-you-care-to-eat dining locations – City Bistro and Liberty Food Hall – and Marty’s Place, our quick-service restaurant specializing in vegan and vegetarian menus, prepared kosher style with all kosher ingredients. You can also get delicious breakfast options at Einstein Bros. Bagels and select grab-and-go items at our POD Express locations.

    The cost of the plan is $160 - only $6.40 per meal! Meals will not expire during the term of your employment.

    Sign up anytime via CampusDish (it will be on your Cougar Card the next business day) or visit Campus Services HQ. CampusDish offers a payment plan to spread the cost of the plan into four equal payments of $40.00.

    For a la carte purchases, you can use your Dining Dollars account, cash or credit card. 

  • Free transportation

    Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) buses provide a convenient alternative to driving your personal vehicle to campus. Service on all routes is free for College of Charleston employees – just show your Cougar Card to the driver. For current schedules, visit ridecarta.com. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride!

  • Campus Recreation Services

    Stay fit and have fun with the tap of your Cougar Card.

    Johnson Center

    Access the Johnson Center Gym and workout area for free with your Cougar Card.

    George Street Fitness Center

    You can also purchase access to the George Street Fitness Center for $50 each period. Pay via the College of Charleston MarketPlace. Use your Cougar Card to gain entry on the business day following payment. Spouses and dependents of employees are not eligible to use this facility.

  • Discounted Parking

    Campus Services HQ offers reduced-price garage parking for employees who only drive to campus occasionally. The reduced price of $10 per day is valid on a first come, first served basis in the St. Philip (PG) Garage. To take advantage of this benefit, you must pay with Cougar Cash upon exiting the garage.   • Discounted Tickets

    Faculty and staff receive a discount on the purchase of a general admission ticket for College of Charleston School of the Arts Department of Theatre and Dance productions, as well as many other events. Use your Cougar Card at the door to receive your free or discounted ticket or secure non-Athletics tickets in advance through the George Street Box Office.

  • Bookstore Discount

    Enjoy a 10% discount on a range of items from the College of Charleston Bookstore. Just show your Cougar Card to the cashier to take advantage of your savings.

  • Personal debit card

    Cougar Cash allows you to draw on pre-deposited funds to purchase products and services on campus. To make a purchase, simply tap your Cougar Card at any participating location and the funds will be withdrawn from your account.

  • Library services

    You must have an active Cougar Card to tap into and out of the Addlestone Library. The Cougar Card also serves as your library card to check out materials. Each semester, employees get $15 of free printing. Should you exceed this amount, you can add Cougar Cash linked to your Cougar Card to print additional pages.
