African American Studies BA
After completing our program, students will:
- demonstrate disciplinary knowledge of African American studies.
- demonstrate competence in African American studies research design and methodology.
- practice critical inquiry and analysis of the political, social, and historical perspectives of African American life and culture.

Archaeology BA
After completing our program, students will:
- identify appropriate methods for collecting and assessing archaeological data to answer questions about past human societies.
- explain how archaeologists apply principles, methods, and/or techniques from cognate disciplines to the study of archaeological evidence.
- differentiate between major historic and current schools of archaeological thought and analyze their impact on research design.

Classics AB/BA
After completing our program, students will:
- demonstrate a working knowledge of the foundational resources for research in the field and assess how they would apply to a particular question.
- complete a discipline-appropriate writing assignment on a topic assigned or approved by their instructor of record.
- present and defend a research topic in an oral presentation, which clearly explains a thesis and employs supporting argumentation in a logical sequence.
AB students take additional credit hours of Greek or Latin.

Foreign Language Education Cognate BS
After completing our program, students will:
- prove their understanding of language acquisition theories and instructional practices for students at the pre-kindergarten through 12th grade levels.
- demonstrate the ability to integrate the National and State student standards into lesson plans for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.
- demonstrate the ability to create and implement assessments of their students' language skills and cultural awareness at the pre-kindergarten through 12th grade levels.

French and Francophone BA
After completing our program, students will:
- demonstrate their ability to speak French at the Intermediate-High level or higher on the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) speaking proficiency scale.
- demonstrate their ability to write in French. They will be able to narrate and describe with detail in all major time frames with good control of aspect. They will be rated at the Advanced-Mid level or higher on the ACTFL scale for proficiency in writing.
- demonstrate knowledge of literacy and cultural texts from France and Francophone countries.

German Studies BA
After completing our program, students will:
- demonstrate writing proficiency at the B1 level, as defined by the Common European Framework for Foreign Language Proficiency.
- demonstrate speaking proficiency at the B1 level, as defined by the Common European Framework for Foreign Language Proficiency.
- demonstrate understanding of texts on literary and cultural themes as well as interdisciplinary topics.

International Studies BA
After completing our program, students will:
- demonstrate global awareness, that is, the ability to identify and describe differences and similarities within and between societies and cultures.
- describe and/or apply a theoretical approach or paradigm germane to international studies.
- demonstrate the ability to access existing knowledge by retrieving, assembling, and organizing information on particular topics and issues in international studies and its related disciplines and fields.

Jewish Studies BA
After completing our program, students will:
- demonstrate a broad familiarity with Jewish history, thought, religion, and culture.
- demonstrate the ability to analyze primary sources and cultural artifacts, and critically assess their significance for the Jewish tradition, culture, and history while demonstrating intercultural fluency.
- conduct research and demonstrate creativity, originality, and command of subject matter through well-organized and persuasive research papers or final projects.

Latin American and the Caribbean Studies BA
After completing our program, students will:
- demonstrate an understanding of the diversity and complexity of the Latin American and/or Caribbean experience.
- apply an integrative multidisciplinary approach to an anlysis of current issues in Latin American and/or the Caribbean.
- demonstrate an appreciation for and understanding of the value of Latin American and Caribbean studies and its interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and comparative approaches.

After completing our program, students will:
- speak at the Intermediate-high level or higher on the ACTFL scale.
- express themselves clearly and professionally in written Spanish.
- understand structural and social aspects of the Spanish language.
- develop reading skills and to demonstrate critical thinking skills in the analysis of Spanish language texts.
