  • Environmental and Sustainability Studies BA

    After completing our program, students will:

    • analyze and evaluate complex systems to identify connections and leverage points; students will identify interactions among social, environmental, and economic systems within the context of environmental and sustainability issues.
    • will describe and analyze the interplay between societies and the environments within which they reside, from social, ethical, cultural, and economic perspectives; students will use various methods (quantitative, qualitative, and/or spatial) to understand and address environmental and sustainability issues.
    • will design and evaluate effective and ethical interventions for sustainability; students will demonstrate innovative solutions-thinking in addressing sustainability issues in applied settings and will articulate their individual role in promoting sustainability.

    After completing our program, students will:

    • describe and analyze human impacts on the environment from physical, chemical, biological, and geological perspectives; students will conduct scientific study of the natural environment, including anthropogenic impacts.
    • will design and evaluate effective and ethical interventions for sustainability; students will demonstrate innovative solutions-thinking in addressing sustainability issues in applied settings and will articulate their individual role in promoting sustainability.
