Accounting BS

After completing our program, students will:

  • be aware of the ethical responsibilities of accounting professionals.

Economics Department


Economics BS/Minor

After completing our program, students will:

  •  demonstrate understanding of the major economic problems facing society and the policy alternatives which may be utilized to contend with these problems.
  • demonstrate the ability to draw insights about economic behavior from the application of mathematical tools.
  • demonstrate the ability to access existing knowledge by retrieving, assembling, and organizing information on particular topics and issues in economics.
  • demonstrate the ability to clearly communicate the analysis of an economic issue.

Finance Department

    After completing our program, students will:

    • demonstrate, through the use of modeling and emerging technologies, quantitative fluency ability and computational skills to solve financial problems.
    • demonstrate proficiency in both written and verbal presentation skills. 
    • integrate knowledge from supporting disciplines of statistics, economics, accounting, management, and math, adding to their knowledge bases and skill sets to holistically analyze financial issues.
  • Commercial Real Estate Finance BS/Minor

    After completing our program, students will:

    • demonstrate their ability to effectively use technology to analyze data in REAL 490 on their projects.
    • demonstrate their quantitative fluency.
    • demonstrate their ability to effectively synthesize material from across their  REAL 490 Real Estate Feasibility in their final Excel project and one final exam question.  We will also examine some of the ETS results.

Hospitality and Tourism Department


Hospitality and Tourism Management BS/Minor

After completing our program, students will:

  • demonstrate effective writing and establish decisive verbal and non-verbal ability through the development and defense of hospitality/tourism scenarios via allied cases, documentation and business plans. 
  • document real-world business computational and analysis expertise (i.e. balance sheet and sources and uses of funds, income and cash-flow statements).
  • articulate and respond to social, ethical, environmental and economic challenges at local, national and international levels through participation in an ethics case study with follow up exercises that highlights why ethical people often engage in unethical behavior in a business setting.
  • weigh changing environmental trends, unsolved problems and gaps for relevance in the marketplace.
  • efficiently synthesize principles of hospitality/ tourism, finance, management, marketing, primary and secondary research, economics and accounting.

Management and Marketing Department
