Tom Bates

Tom Bates is a Director and Institutional Investment Advisor within the Foundations and Endowments Speciality Practice at Truist. He meets with the boards and investment committees of non-profits to discuss the client's portfolio and the markets/economy. Tom is also on the team that makes tactical asset allocation decisions for client portfolios.

His prior role was with US Trust, Bank of America Private Bank where he spent six years working with high-net-worth individuals and institutions. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2018 and, while at the College of Charleston, was in the first cohort of students in the Investment Program during 2013/2014.
