Walter Green

Walter Green is a private investor and principal of Greenwood Advisors.  He is a 40-year veteran of JPMorgan Chase where he led multiple teams in the Investment and Private Bank including responsibility for Strategic Planning & Marketing, the Petroleum & Mining Division, Financial Sponsor Group and the Private Equity team. During his last 20 years he focused on the private equity sector, including M&A financing, and personal wealth management for private equity partners.

Mr. Green received his BBA & MBA from the Terry College at the University of Georgia, where he served on the Alumni Association Board and was a Founding Board Member of Terry’s Student Managed Investment Program. He currently serves on the Boards of the University of Georgia Libraries and the College of Charleston’s School of Business Investment Program.

While living in Chicago for 35 years, Mr. Green served on the Board of the Illinois Venture Capital Association and the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship. He is a co-author of books on energy trading and has been a guest speaker at multiple energy and private equity conferences and universities.  Following his retirement Mr. Green and his wife moved from Chicago to Charleston where they now reside.
