Entrance Audition and Interview (EAI) Days 2026-2027

In previous years, the Department of Theatre and Dance conducted its annual Entrance Audition and Interview Day (formerly titled Talent Award Day) in January. We are now excited to be able to offer two opportunities for students to audition or submit a portfolio for review – one in the fall (October) and one in the winter (January).
This is a chance for prospective students to audition or submit a portfolio to be considered for department talent awards. Students must intend to apply to the College of Charleston in order to participate. Interested students may attend in-person or submit materials virtually.
Please note:
- While an audition/portfolio review is not required for acceptance into the Theatre major, auditions are required for placement into Dance technique classes and acceptance into the Performance and Choreography concentration of the Dance major.
- EAI Days are designed for prospective students interested in majoring in Theatre or Dance. However, students must still apply to the College of Charleston through the Office of Admissions. This is a separate process from applying for departmental awards or scholarships. View more information about the College's admissions requirements and processes.

The 2026-2027 EAI Days will be held on Saturday, October 24th, 2026 and Saturday, January 23rd, 2027. Registration for the Fall EAI day will open on September 1st, 2026. Details will be shared with registered students in mid-October.

- November 9, 2026: Registration for Winter EAI Day opens
- January 15, 2027: Registration for Winter EAI Day closes
