Parking and Transportation

Need help getting around? Campus Services HQ has you covered!

Parking in downtown Charleston is extremely limited, but we’ll help you navigate your options. Get familiar with our parking guidelines and learn about alternatives to parking on campus, including free bus rides through our partnership with CARTA. Eligible students who would like on-campus parking must apply for parking each semester, and eligibility to apply does not guarantee a permit will be available.

Permits Required!

Don’t get a ticket (or worse, booted or towed!) Vehicles parked in a College of Charleston parking lot must have a valid permit properly displayed to avoid getting a parking citation.

GUEST PARKING

Just here for a visit? All guests should park in a parking garage or in metered parking spots. Explore parking options for guests.

FREE RIDES ON CARTA

Students and employees can ride all CARTA buses for free! This includes the Downtown Area Shuttle (DASH). Just show your valid Cougar Card when you board. Check out CARTA’s maps and schedules.
