Housing Availability for the 2026-2027 Academic Year

We’re excited to welcome new students to the College of Charleston and appreciate your interest in on-campus housing. Due to strong demand from both first-year and returning students, the housing application is not yet open for transfer students. 

We now anticipate opening the transfer student housing application on May 5. We understand this timing may affect your planning, and we appreciate your patience. Please keep an eye on your College of Charleston email for additional details and next steps once the application opens.

Our team remains committed to helping as many students as possible find a welcoming residential community. If a private room is important to you, please know we do not currently have private rooms available for first-year or transfer students.

Off-Campus Housing

We’ve provided an overview of some of the larger housing providers in our area to help you consider your options off campus. These are all located within approximately two miles of campus. These are not affiliated with the College of Charleston in any way, and we cannot and do not endorse or recommend any specific provider.
