Accounting (B.S.) to Accountancy (M.S.)
Fast-track your career with our Accounting (B.S.) to Accountancy (M.S.) Accelertate program.
Accounting B.S. to Accountancy M.S.
Once you've completed at least 90 credit hours, you can get a head start on your Master of Science in Accountancy by taking two graduate level courses (6 credit hours) while finishing your bachelor's degree.
To qualify, you'll need a minimum GPA of 3.2 and a GPA of at least 3.0 in your accouning major in addition to completion of key coursework. -
Arts Management (B.A.) to Public Administration (M.P.A.)
Earn both your Bachelor of Arts in Arts Management and a Master of Public Administration in just five years at the College of Charleston.
Our accelerated program blends cutting-edge arts management techniques with essential public sector skills, preparing you for leadership roles in both fields.
As an undergraduate in the program, you’ll have the opportunity to replace 12 undergraduate credits with graduate-level coursework, putting you ahead on your MPA. During your fifth year, you'll complete six core Public Administration courses, plus one elective to reach the required 36 credit hours.Additionally, you can apply for and earn the ARCM certificate independently of the accelerated program.

Computer Science (B.S.) to Computer and Information Sciences (M.S.)
Earn both your Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Master of Science in Computer and Information Sciences in just five years at the College of Charleston!
Our accelerated program allows selected students to take up to 12 graduate credit hours during their undergraduate studies, which count toward both degrees, streamlining your path to advanced expertise in computer science.
In this program, you’ll be treated as a graduate student for any graduate-level courses you take, gaining access to deeper learning and research opportunities. Most students complete their M.S. within one year of finishing their B.S., giving you a fast track to advanced career opportunities or preparation for a Ph.D. program in computer and information sciences or related fields.

Mathematics (B.S.) to Mathematical Sciences (M.S.)
Mathematics majors at the College of Charleston can accelerate their education by earning both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences in just five years.
Our accelerated degree program allows students to start earning graduate credits during their senior year and complete their master's degree within one calendar year or, in some cases, two academic semesters after finishing their B.S.

Designed to integrate undergraduate and graduate research, this program prepares students for advanced academic pursuits, including Ph.D. programs in mathematics or related fields. To apply, students should contact the mathematics department by their junior year to devise a study plan with an academic advisor. All undergraduate requirements, including 3 credits of a senior thesis in a pure or applied mathematics or statistics topic, must be completed by the end of the fourth year. -
Music (B.A.) to Performing Arts, Choral Music Concentration (M.A.T.)
Earn both your Bachelor of Arts in Music and Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) with a concentration in Choral Music in an efficient and accelerated program at the College of Charleston.
This pathway prepares you to become a certified K-12 music teacher, allowing you to enter the job market with dual degrees. You can take up to 12 graduate credit hours during your undergraduate studies, counting toward both your B.A. and MAT, saving you time and money.
Our program enhances your employability and increases your earning potential, thanks to the MAT’s recognized value in education. To apply, you’ll need to submit a letter of intent detailing your interests and career goals, and complete an interview with the MAT Program Director. Applications should be submitted by the end of your junior year. Admission requires a minimum GPA of 3.2 and completion of at least 90 undergraduate credit hours.

Political Science (B.A.) to Public Administration (M.P.A.)

Urban Studies (B.A.) to Public Administration (M.P.A.)
The Urban Studies/MPA Accelerated Program prepares students for careers in public service, with an emphasis on urban policy, planning, and law. Up on completing the program, you will be well prepared for a career in local, state, and federal governments as well as nonprofit and private organizations.
Up to 12 credit hours of eligible graduate-level coursework taken as an undergraduate can be counted toward both your Urban Studies B.A. degree and your Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree.

Dual Degree: Biology & Nursing
The College of Charleston partners with the Medical University of South Carolina and University of South Carolina Upstate Mary Black School of Nursing to offer a dual degree program that is an option for a small number of entering freshmen.
These partnerships allow students to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the College of Charleston and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from USMC in 4.5 years or USC Upstate in 5 years.

Dual Degree: Biology & Doctor of Pharmacy
In collaboration with the MUSC College of Pharmacy, the College of Charleston offers an exclusive dual-degree program that guarantees up to five incoming first-year students a place in the MUSC College of Pharmacy. This program allows students to complete a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in one year less than the traditional path.
Dual Degree: Biology to Pharmacy
In this program, you'll spend your first three years at the College majoring in biology and gaining practical experience through job shadowing pharmacists.
In your fourth year, you'll transfer to MUSC while remaining part of the College. You will receive your bachelor’s degree in biology at the end of this year and continue at MUSC to complete your Doctor of Pharmacy degree. -
Combined Public Administration, MPA & Environmental and Sustainable Studies, MS
Earn both a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) and a Master of Science in Environmental and Sustainability Studies (M.S.) through a dual degree program that combines academic excellence with efficiency.
