Meet the Math Department

The Department of Mathematics main office is room 339 in the Robert Scott Small (RSS) Building. Faculty offices are in RSS and 4 Greenway nearby. Math classes are taught in various buildings across campus but most are in the Maybank building just across Cougar Mall from RSS!

Dr. Kunkle has been teaching a the College of Charleston since 1991, when he received his doctorate in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from Kent State University.

 Kate OwensKate Owens, Ph.D., Department Associate Chair

Dr. Owens joined the Department of Mathematics faculty in August of 2011. She earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics and M.A. in Mathematics from the University of South Carolina after a B.A. in Pure Mathematics at the University of California, San Diego.
