Meet the Math Department

The Department of Mathematics main office is room 339 in the Robert Scott Small (RSS) Building. Faculty offices are in RSS and 4 Greenway nearby. Math classes are taught in various buildings across campus but most are in the Maybank building just across Cougar Mall from RSS!

Dr. Jurisich has been at the College of Charleston since 1999. She has a Ph.D. from Rutgers University, and an M.S. from the Courant Institute of mathematical sciences at New York University. Prior to coming to the College, she held positions at the University of Chicago and University of California, Santa Cruz.

 

 Kate OwensKate Owens, Ph.D., Department Associate Chair

Dr. Owens joined the Department of Mathematics faculty in August of 2011. She earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics and M.A. in Mathematics from the University of South Carolina after a B.A. in Pure Mathematics at the University of California, San Diego.
