First, in order to declare this program of study, you must have completed an associate’s degree or be at least 21 years of age and have completed a series of prerequisite courses. Most students come to this program with some college credit; however, if you are interested in this program and do not have college credit or have not completed the pre-requisite courses, please speak with an advisor to discuss your options.
In addition to prerequisite coursework, the B.P.S. program requires that students complete a core curriculum of 20-22 hours.
Then, each student is required to complete 18 credit hours within a concentration.
The courses in the construction management concentration include:
- CMGT 340 Construction Management Process
- CMGT 341 Construction Job Site Management
- MGMT 301 Management & Organizational Behavior
- PMGT 301 Introduction to Project Management
- PMGT 311 Managing Project Scope, Schedule and Cost
- PMGT 331 Managing Stakeholder Engagement and Resource Procurement in Projects
Students will also need to complete 12 additional electives hours from a group of over 18 concentration electives. Finally, depending on the number of transfer credits awarded, students will need to complete additional electives to reach the 122 credits required to graduate.
Students can add on a Project Management Certificate with only one additional class.
