Move-In

We can’t wait to welcome you to your home away from home!

Campus Housing is here to make your move into our residence halls and houses as easy as possible. You play an important role, too! Make sure to follow any instructions we email you and read below for some tips and reminders.

Spring 2024

We can't wait to see you in January!

You will need to register in advance for a check-in timeslot, whether you’re returning to campus housing or moving in for the first time. Appointments will be available between January 7 and January 10 for all residence halls and houses.

Current residential students

You will sign up for your spring 2024 check-in through the same Book Appointment button you use for your fall checkout, and you may sign up for your spring appointment at the same time. Just make sure you complete your fall appointment section before moving onto spring.

New residential students

For students moving into on-campus housing for the first time or first time this academic year: Be on the lookout for an email from Campus Housing confirming your spring housing assignment. You will receive instructions for move-in at that time.

Read other important steps and tips below as you get ready to move in.

Getting Ready for Move-In

If you're moving into campus for the first time or need some reminders, read below.
  • Submit a photo for your Cougar Card

You will need a Cougar Card to access your residence hall/house as well as other campus benefits and services, including your meal plan. Please also bring a driver’s license or other government-issued ID.

  • Mailing and Shipping to Campus

Your CofC Complex (mailing) address is on the home page of the MyHousing/Dining portal, under your name. This number is unique to you - you do not share it with your roommate. You will get mailing and shipping instructions from Mail Services should you need to send anything ahead of move-in. Please do not ship anything to your residence hall’s address – it is not your CofC mailing/shipping address! Limit how much you ship and do not send anything to arrive earlier than five business days before your move-in appointment.
