W. Hugh Haynsworth Fellowship
5 awards available at $5,000 per year, non-renewable
FELLOWSHIP CRITERIA:
Applicant must:
- Be an admitted, incoming degree-seeking graduate student at the College of Charleston.
- Must be considered a non-resident of South Carolina or be ineligible for South Carolina residency.
- Have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.25 or higher.
- Enroll full-time, at least 6 hours of graduate credit during the award terms.
DEADLINE AND NOTIFICATION:
Prospective students should have completed applications by January 15 for priority consideration.
WHH Fellowship nominations will be considered on a competitive basis. Students who have been awarded the WHH Fellowship will be notified by the Graduate School.
RESTRICTIONS:
- Continuing students are not eligible for the WHH Fellowship.
- Residents of South Carolina are not eligible for the WHH Fellowship.
- Students enrolled in less than 6 hours are not eligible for the WHH Fellowship.
- Students enrolled in the MBA program are not eligible for the WHH Fellowship.
- The WHH Fellowship is not renewable.
NOTES:
- The WHH Fellowship funding schedule is tied to the academic year with the fall being the first award term.
- The maximum amount which can be awarded is $2,500 per term, or a total of $5,000.
- Fellowship is contingent upon the applicant earning a bachelor’s degree.
- A student whose GPA is not final at time of award notification must achieve the award GPA upon completion of their bachelor's degree. Those who do not achieve the required GPA may have their award rescinded.
