Principal's Fellowship

Offering $1,000+ awards per year

FELLOWSHIP CRITERIA:

Applicant must:

  1. Be an admitted, incoming degree-seeking graduate student at the College of Charleston.
  2. Have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.00 or higher.
  3. Enroll full-time, at least 6 hours of graduate credit during the award terms.

DEADLINE AND NOTIFICATION:

Prospective students should have completed applications by January 15 for priority consideration.

Principal’s Fellowship nominations will be considered on a competitive basis. New students who have been awarded the Principal’s Fellowship will be notified by the Graduate School.

RESTRICTIONS:

  1. Continuing students may be eligible for the Principal’s Fellowship.
  2. Students enrolled in the MBA programs are not eligible for the Principal’s Fellowship.

NOTES:

  1. The Principal’s Fellowship funding schedule is tied to the academic year with the fall being the first award term.
  2. The maximum amount which can be awarded is $2,000 per term, or a total of $4,000.
  3. The minimum amount which can be awarded is $500 per term, or a total of $1,000.
  4. Fellowship is contingent upon the applicant earning a bachelor’s degree.
  5. A student whose GPA is not final at time of award notification must achieve the award GPA upon completion of their bachelor's degree.  Those who do not achieve the required GPA may have their award rescinded.
