Simon Felix Gallagher Fellowship

1 award available at $10,000 per year, renewable for second year

FELLOWSHIP CRITERIA

Applicant must:

  1. Be an admitted, incoming degree-seeking graduate student at the College of Charleston.
  2. Be admitted to at least a two-year program.
  3. Have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or higher.
  4. Enroll full-time, with at least 6 hours of graduate credit during the award terms.

DEADLINE AND NOTIFICATION

Prospective students should have completed applications by January 15 for priority consideration.

SFG Fellowship nominations will be considered on a competitive basis. Students who have been awarded the SFG Fellowship will be notified by the Graduate School.

RESTRICTIONS

  1. Continuing students are not eligible for the SFG Fellowship.
  2. Students enrolled in less than 6 hours are not eligible for the SFG Fellowship.
  3. Students enrolled in the MBA program are not eligible for the SFG Fellowship.

NOTES

  1. The SFG Fellowship funding schedule is tied to the academic year, with the fall being the first award term.
  2. The maximum amount which can be awarded is $5,000 per term, or a total of $10,000 per year.
  3. Fellowship renewal is contingent upon the recipient being in good academic standing after the first year.
  4. Fellowship is contingent upon the applicant earning a bachelor’s degree.
  5. A student whose GPA is not final at time of award notification must achieve the award GPA upon completion of their bachelor's degree.  Those who do not achieve the required GPA may have their award rescinded.
