Mission Statement
The Women in the Civic Arena weekend retreat was created to provide a space for women at the executive level in local government to understand the challenges facing women in the profession, to share experiences and make connections while developing a plan to live their whole, authentic selves.
2025 Weekend Retreat

Join other local government managers in a woman-focused weekend leadership retreat!
The program offers:
- Information, research and lessons learned on overcoming challenges facing women in leadership in local government.
- A safe space for discussion and problem solving.
- Planning and accountability for living your whole authentic life.
- Camaraderie, joy, and fun!

Where: College of Charleston - Charleston, South Carolina
Who: City/County Managers and Deputy/Assistant managers
Cost: $950 per participant (excludes travel and accommodations)
