CLEP Subject Exams

The College awards credit for certain College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams, based on the student’s scores.

When credit is awarded, your College of Charleston transcript will show that the credit comes from an exam. If you enroll in a class at the College for which you have already received credit based on your exam scores, you will not receive credit again for taking the class, although the grade may be included in your GPA.

**No native speaker of a language other than English will be awarded foreign language credit for proficiency in their first language.

CLEP Subject Examination Credit

The passing grade for each examination is the score approved for credit by the appropriate academic department at the College.
