Your College of Charleston academic record is available as an official or unofficial transcript through the Office of the Registrar.
Official Transcripts
Your official transcript is a copy of your permanent academic record as issued, signed and sealed by the College of Charleston Office of the Registrar.
Unofficial Transcripts
An unofficial transcript is an uncertified copy of your academic record and is not signed or sealed by the College of Charleston registrar.

Official Transcripts
The College of Charleston has partnered with Parchment, a digital credential service, to manage the ordering, processing and secure delivery of your official College of Charleston transcripts.
Order online via MyPortal or directly from the Parchment website.
Order your official transcripts to be sent electronically, mailed or picked up at the College of Charleston. Official transcripts cost $10 per document. Additional charges apply for FedEx and international orders.
Current Students
- Login in to MyPortal
- Select the "Transcripts" tile
- Select "Order Official Transcript" (opens the Parchment website)
- Create your Parchment account.
NOTE: It is recommended that you DO NOT USE your College of Charleston email when creating your Parchment account. Using an alternate email will ensure easy access to your account after you have graduated or left the College of Charleston.
Alumni/Former Students
Alumni and former students who do not have a current MyPortal account may order transcripts directly from the Parchment website.

Unofficial Transcripts
Unofficial transcripts may be viewed and self-printed by current students through MyPortal. There is no charge for viewing/printing your unofficial transcript.
Unofficial transcripts do not include the College seal, official signature of the registrar or issue date.

- Select the "Transcripts" tile.
- Select the "Unofficial Transcripts" link.

Alumni and former students who do not have a current MyPortal account may order OFFICIAL transcripts directly from the Parchment website.

Transcript Holds
You must resolve all financial obligations to the College of Charleston before we can issue an official trascript.
Before requesting an official transcript, you must resolve any transcript holds with the office that placed the hold on your account. Once the hold is cleared, your transcript order will be processed within 24 hours.
Only the department who placed the hold can remove the hold from your account.Some common transcript holds include the following:

Apostille
An Apostille International Certified transcript may be required for international employment or school admission abroad.
These transcripts can be ordered via Parchment. The transcript is notarized by the College of Charleston and mailed to you.
You are then responsible for submitting the notarized document to the South Carolina Secretary of State's office to request the apostille.

- Log in to Parchment
- Select "History"
- Complete the fields you would like to search
- Submit your search
- The status of your order will appear under the status column.
