Executive Coaching

Learn to lead and thrive

The College of Charleston Executive MBA program partners with Wisdom Works, a renowned provider of transformative leadership programs, to offer students the opportunity to evolve consciousness and competence for leading and thriving in today’s complex, interdependent and disrupted world.

Key Takeaways

  • Learn an open, present and connected stance to leadership rather than leading from reactivity and fear.
  • Gain insight into your personal capacity to thrive and how to empower thriving in others.
  • Gain experience through practical application.

When leaders cultivate their capacity to thrive, they lead with greater effectiveness and wisdom. They use their demands as opportunities for growth in themselves, their people, performance and business results.

  • Leadership Assessments

As a College of Charleston EMBA student, you will take two assessments to uncover leadership competencies and factors that facilitate personal and collective wellbeing. You will take these assessments twice – at the beginning and end of the 18-month program.

Both assessments provide you with robust data on progress made so that you can see just how you've developed as a leader in the program.

    Be Well Lead Well Pulse®

Be Well Lead Well Pulse® is the first integrative leadership assessment focused on wellbeing and transformation. It measures key inner factors that facilitate wellbeing – life vision and purpose, engagement and flow, stress coping and resilience, energy management, mental and emotional wellbeing, and learning and wisdom.

    Leadership Circle Profile

Leadership Circle Profile is a 360° assessment that helps leaders understand how their behaviors and mindsets impact their leadership effectiveness and business performance. This is the only instrument that measures the two primary leadership domains — creative competencies and reactive tendencies — and integrates this information so that key opportunities for development immediately rise to the surface.

  • Workshops

You will participate in three executive coaching workshops during the program.

    First Residency Workshop (January)

Two workshops focusing on insights from the Leadership Circle Profile and Be Well Lead Well Pulse® assessments as well as explore next steps for creating a personalized plan to turn the feedback from the two assessments into actions that matter to your life and leadership. During this time, leaders will also become acquainted with the executive coaches that will support them during the EMBA program.

    Final Residency Workshop (May)

A final workshop to review progress and unpack results from the second round of assessments. This workshop will help you examine the progress you've made in your leadership effectiveness and thriving in life overall through your engagement in program coursework, executive coaching support and personal action plans.

  • Executive Coaches

Each participant is paired with a certified executive leadership coach for seven sessions. These sessions help you gain new insights into your leadership style and turn feedback into positive actions.

Executive coaching offers a confidential space to translate personalized feedback into relevant goals, challenge outdated thinking, and apply new practices to enhance leadership and life.

  • Individualized Learning

As part of the executive coaching program, you'll have your very own action planning tool with more than 100+ innovative possibilities and practices to assist you in enhancing and developing new capabilities as a leader.
