Math Placement
Placement is not about skipping courses.
Math placement is all about giving you an accurate measure of your current mathematical skills. This means you’ll be placed in the course where you’re most likely to succeed.
In order for us to place you in the correct course, you need to submit your final transcript and any official AP, SAT or ACT scores even if you applied test optional (without submitting official scores) with your admissions materials. Our placement guidelines are designed to keep you on track in your chosen major and general education. Students should consult with their major advisor regarding which math classes are required.
Current students and accepted students with CofC credentials can find more information about Math Placement on the Math Student Hub.
