International Scholars
What if we told you that before you finish college you could explore the world, study abroad multiple times, and start addressing some of our planet’s most critical issues?
If that’s piqued your interest, consider the International Scholars Program your gateway to making a global impact.
International Scholars
Develop the skills you need to make a difference on the global stage.
- Explore the world through multiple study abroad excursions.
- Develop a global perspective.
- Expose yourself to new concepts and viewpoints.
- Propose solutions to critical global issues.
Global thinkers come from all different kinds of backgrounds. As an international scholar you’ll double-major in international studies and any other major of your choice. Whether you’re passionate about economics or public health, political science or pre-med, the International Scholars will help you think big-picture. It’ll open doors to possibilities all over the world.
I have had unparalleled opportunities to seek out different perspectives and add them to the ways in which I can interpret the world.

Expert Guidance and Mentoring
You’ll meet regularly with a dedicated career mentor, someone with years of experience on the global stage. And you’ll join a network of program alumni who are excelling in their fields all over the world.

You and your cohort will all enroll in the Honors international studies course your freshman year. Together, you’ll explore how international politics, economics, society, history, literature, and the environment intermingle on the world stage.
Colloquium Events
Twice a semester you'll gather with other international scholars and expert faculty to discuss critical international issues. Students of all academic years have the opportunity to share ideas and hear the perspectives of experienced staff.
How to Apply
Each year, the program welcomes approximately ten new students. There’s no separate application process. As long as you’ve applied to the Honors College by our priority deadline, you’ll be considered for an invitation to interview for the program.
