Our German and Russian Studies programs provide you with the language proficiency and cultural appreciation needed for meaningful exchange in an interconnected world.
Led by faculty with a broad scope of expertise, the programs have been recognized nationally for their excellence and academic contributions to German and Russian topics. In addition, the German Studies Program has been designated a German Center of Excellence by the American Association of Teachers of German.

German Studies
The U.S. has many long-established social and cultural ties with the nations of the German-speaking world: Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Today, a knowledge of German has become important for anyone engaged in international commerce, research and technology.

Russian Studies Minor
The Russian Studies Program is a multidisciplinary course of study combining the Russian language with courses related to Russian literature, culture, history, politics and business.
The program is designed to provide students with the language skills, cultural exposure and historical background needed to understand and interact with more than 280 million speakers of Russian in the world today.
