Give to the Department

The Department of German and Russian Studies opens doors to dynamic languages, cultures, and professional opportunities across Central and Eastern Europe.

Your generous support helps us to continue providing students with rigorous linguistic training in addition to deep cultural history and perspectives. Our faculty empower students’ capacities for scholarship, critical examination of global affairs, and future cross-cultural engagement.

Your donation has a profound, lasting impact on both the academic journeys and career success of tomorrow’s communicators, researchers, diplomats, and changemakers engaging German-speaking and Eurasian communities.

  • German Program Fund

  • Josef Modzelewski Memorial Fund
The fund honors the late Josef Mojelewski, Professor of German, who served as the first co-chair for the new Department of Classics and German in the mid-1990's. The fund helps support an annual award to a graduating senior who has demonstrated leadership to the program.
