Peer Facilitator Information
Our First-Year Experience Peer Facilitators (PFs) are one of a kind! They are successful students who dedicate their time and efforts in assisting other students to become successful at the College of Charleston.
PFs lead a 50-minute Synthesis Seminar (FYSS) once a week during the semester. All their students within the FYSE or LC course are required to attend each weekly Synthesis Seminar. The PF creates a syllabus that contains curricular and co-curricular aspects associated with the course, and to the overall enhancement of the students’ successful transition and continuation at the College of Charleston. They also hold office hours at the Center for Excellence in Peer Education facilities to meet one-on-one with their students throughout the semester.
