About the Filmmakers


Molly Moloney '24 was a Bonner Leadership Program and Honors College graduate.  She wrote and created this documentary on College of Charleston first-generation students as part of her Bonner senior project.  Molly and Katie Hughes were the founding members of our First-Generation Student Organization.

Jakob Highducheck, the director of this film, is a passionate storyteller and advocate for change. A Fulbright Alumni, Bonner Leadership Program Member, and Honors College student, Jakob aspires to direct films for National Geographic. Through his company, Shaka Film Productions (Instagram, YouTube), he continues to direct inspiring films and video projects.
