Crossing the Cistern Program

The School of Health Sciences Crossing the Cistern (CTC) Program is designed to support, engage, challenge, and celebrate students as they progress toward graduation. The program aims to foster academic success, retention, and overall well-being for all students. CTC provides academic advising, individual and group mentoring from SOHS faculty and staff, scholarship support, extracurricular programming, and interactive peer communities to help students navigate their academic journey. This program is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors, with the option to renew semesterly through senior year.

Program Eligibility:
  • Open to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors
  • Declared SOHS Major
  • Cumulative GPA between 1.8 and 2.8
Student Support:
  • Up to $325/semester ($650 for the academic year) in scholarship support is available for each CTC student.
  • Opportunity to receive additional funding of $1250 for experiential learning (e.g., study abroad, internship, mentored research).
