Congratulations to the 2025-2026 class of Market Process Scholars!

Autumn Burkett is a junior from Anderson, SC. She a Marketing major interested in how marketing and economics intersect to shape behavior and engagement. She has proudly served as Community and Connection Program Coordinator for the Cougar Activities Board in 2024–25 and will be the Social Media Coordinator in 2025–26. Through the Market Process Scholars Program, she hopes to deepen her understanding of economic principles in real-world contexts.


Laurel Craft is a junior, majoring in Accounting and Political Science, from Richmond Virginia. In her free time, she enjoys reading, being a part of Model United Nations, and working out. She is extremely excited to be starting the Market Process Scholars program at College of Charleston in this year.


Denise Hurd is a sophomore from Collegeville, Pennsylvania. She is majoring in accounting but is interested in all things business and economics. Outside the program, she represents Charleston as a C40 tour guide, sharing her love for the College with prospective students. She is also the treasurer for the Alliance for Planet Earth, advocating for sustainability initiatives around Charleston.  Denise is excited to join the Market Process team to further her study of public choice and her passion for free markets.


Lilliana Myers is a senior from Wilmington, North Carolina majoring in Economics with minors in Dance and Spanish. She participates in Student Government, Dance Alliance, and serves as the President of Women in Business. She recently had the opportunity to be a Washington Fellow through the Fund for American Studies where she interned with the House of Representatives and took classes in American Political Thought and Economics. In the future, Lilliana hopes to travel the world before pursuing a political career in Washington DC. Outside of campus, she enjoys reading and writing in her free time.


Hunter Poe is a senior from Boyertown, Pennsylvania. He is currently majoring in Economics and Chemistry and hopes to have a career where he can provide wealth to others while helping people along the way. Hunter is also involved with synthetic organic chemistry research through the college.  Hunter is also a captain for the college's Men's Ultimate Frisbee team.  Outside of the College, Hunter enjoys his free time watching the Yankees and traveling with friends.


Lexi Redd is junior from Birmingham, Alabama. She is majoring in Economics and International Studies. In addition to participating in the Market Process Scholars Program, Lexi is a member of the Honors College, Charleston Fellows, 1967 Legacy Scholars Program, and the International Scholars Program. She also serves as a Peer Academic Coach for the Center of Academic Performance and Persistence.
