Orientation Schedule

All new students must participate in an orientation to be advised and registered for classes before the semester begins.

Students and families will receive detailed schedules with event locations at check-in.

Orientation Schedules


Two Day Freshman Orientation Schedule  
The first day of orientation starts with check-in between 7:30 and 8:15 am, the lunch break is from 12 to 1:30 pm and the programming ends around 5:30 pm.  The second day of orientation starts at 8 am and ends by 2 pm.  The timing is the same for both students and families on the first and second day of orientation.  

Check in at Cougar Mall (165 Calhoun Street) between 7:30 and 8:15 a.m. There will be signs on campus throughout the morning to direct you to the check-in location.

  • Meet your orientation intern.
  • Official welcome
  • College's tuition payment policy and electronic bill pay
  • Campus tour
  • Cougar Card (campus ID) pickup
  • Meet with faculty from various majors.
  • Meet with representatives from Campus Housing, the Center for Student Learning, Center for International Education, Career Center and many others.
  • Academic advising and course registration
  • Learn about the College's general academic and specific major requirements.
  • Student Activities Information Fair
  • Sessions on information technology, library services and diversity, campus safety
  • Meet your new friends

The family orientation program runs from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
