Our 15-credit program includes coursework in executive and fiscal leadership, arts education and advocacy, and strategic planning and evaluation to equip you to thrive in the visionary world of arts leadership.
As a degree-seeking student, you can complete teh certificate in the Masterof Public Administration (M.P.A.) and Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing (M.F.A.) programs.

Certificate Policy
The graduate certificate in Arts and Cultural Management in the School of the Arts is offered through the College of Charleston's Master of Public Administration Program.
Up to 12 hours taken in the certificate program may be transferred into the M.P.A. program with the approval of the program director. Students in the certificate program must still apply and be accepted into the M.P.A. program before credit hours can be transferred.
Program alumni interested in obtaining a certificate in Arts and Cultural Management may use up to 12 hours taken in the M.P.A. program towards their certificate with the approval of the M.P.A. and certificate program directors. Students must go through the admissions process and be accepted for the certificate program in order to be eligible to earn a certificate.
Students earning the M.P.A. degree and a certificate are expected to complete an internship relevant to the certificate's area of study.
Applications for each certificate program are reviewed by both the certificate's program director and the M.P.A. program director.
