The Martin Scholars is a unique program providing senior communication students with opportunities for personal and professional development that shapes their careers for years to come.
Purpose of the program
The purpose of the Martin Scholars program is to inspire and develop a future generation of leaders among today’s outstanding Communication majors at the College of Charleston. Members meet as a group once a week to discuss case studies, participate in personal and professional developement workshops, meet guest speakers and collaborate with their peers.
Applications for the Martin Scholars program open each Spring. Current students can learn more and apply in the Hub.

Networking
The program develops a select group of senior Communication majors through a combination of exposure to effective communication leaders who serve as mentors and teachers, networking opportunities with Communication alumni and the Department of Communication National Advisory Council members, and experiential learning.
Alumni connections
The Martin Center continues to work with alumni of the Martin Scholars program years after graduation through hosting regional networking events, sharing members' career progress and connecting graduates with current communication students.
