Student Info

Students at the College of Charleston have the convenience of a post office and a variety of shipping options right here on campus! Mail Services offers any service provided by the United States Postal Office and private shippers like DHL, FedEx and UPS.

Your campus address

Students living in College of Charleston campus housing get their own mailing address. You’ll get your CofC Complex number by email a couple of weeks before move-in. To send mail to a student living on campus, please use their Campus Mailing Address.

Returning students keep the same CofC Complex number each year while living on campus, no matter which residence hall or house they live in.

How do I get my mail?

Students will be notified by Mail Services via email for all packages and deliveries to their address. An email will be sent to the student’s College of Charleston email as soon as the item(s) is ready for pickup. That email will also provide instructions on how and when to pick up your mail or package.

Important Info

Weight/Size Restrictions for Incoming Packages

Packages over the USPS limit (70 lbs, 108” in combined length, width and height) will be refused and returned to the sender.

Amazon Locker on Campus

We have an Amazon Locker on campus, named Bente, that you can use to receive and return Amazon purchases only.

Please visit the Amazon website for instructions on how to send packages to a locker. The College does not have access to the Amazon locker.

Mail Incident / Theft

If you believe your mail has been lost, stolen or compromised in any way, please submit a Mail Incident Form.

Mail Forwarding

Mail Services provides students with convenient mail forwarding over the summer. You will be directed to complete a mail-forwarding form in the MyHousing/Dining portal when you make your move-out appointment. Your mail will automatically be forwarded to the permanent address on file with the College of Charleston unless you indicate otherwise in the form.

Mail forwarding is also provided for students who graduate or move off campus for a period of 90 days after they leave campus. Students are strongly encouraged to update all their records and addresses to ensure the fastest mail delivery.

All USPS mail and packages will be forwarded. Packages delivered by other carriers, such as UPS, FedEx or DHL, will only be delivered to addresses in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties. All others will be returned to sender.
