Need to get a passport? You’re in luck! College of Charleston Mail Services is an official Passport Acceptance Facility.

What does a Passport Acceptance Facility do? In short, we do everything to make sure your passport application process goes smoothly. Whether you’re a first-time applicant (adult or minor) or need to renew your passport, we can help. We’ll take your passport photo on-site (or bring your own qualifying photo). Then we’ll make sure you submit the proper forms and fees. Read more about application types, photos and fees.

Types of Passport Applications

• First-time adult applicant (16 years of age or older)
• First-time minor applicant (under age 16)
• Adult passport renewal You cannot renew a passport for a child under age 16. You must apply again in person using Form DS-11. 

Passport Photos

Mail Services can take your photo for your passport, visa and other application needs. If you require photos for another country’s passport or visa, please speak with one of our agents to determine if we can assist.

You can review photo requirements from the U.S. Department of State, below, if you wish to bring your own photo. 

Our photo services are $10.00 (payable by check, money order, credit/debit card or cash). 

Passport Fees

Mail Services charges a $35 execution fee. This is charged in addition to the U.S. Department of State's passport fee for each application. Our execution fee can be paid by check or money order (made payable to College of Charleston Mail Services), debit/credit card or cash.

You can calculate your passport application fees on the U.S. Department of State website. These fees will be made payable to the U.S. Department of State.
