Meet Our Teachers
Madison Benevento, Master Teacher

Madison Benevento is the Master Teacher of the two-year-old class. She completed her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education, with a minor in Coaching, from the College of Charleston. She is currently pursuing her graduate degree in Creative Writing from the College of Charleston. During her time at the College, she was a Teaching Assistant at ECDC for two years and completed an additional semester-long independent study. After graduating, Madison led a pre-k classroom in her hometown of Long Island, New York. When she is not teaching, she enjoys swimming at the beach, reading and photography.
Gordon Grasmann, Master Teacher

Gordon Grasmann is the Master Teacher of the three-year-old class. He received his undergraduate degree in communications from Elon University and his Master of Arts in Elementary Education from New Jersey City University. With over a decade of teaching experience, mostly in the Threes in Hoboken, New Jersey, and a year at Addlestone Hebrew Academy in West Ashley, he has found his home at ECDC!
Gordon enjoys spending time with his two daughters, Harper and Avery, and his wife, Trish. They enjoy traveling, spending time at the beach, biking, playing tennis, paddleboarding, and reading. Gordon also enjoys watching sports, especially the Mets!
Nate Nearpass, Master Teacher

Nate Nearpass is the Master Teacher of the 4/5 year old class. He completed his undergraduate degree at Moody Bible Institute with a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Ministry. He received his Masters of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education from National Louis University. He has been teaching 4 and 5 year olds in Chicago, IL for the past seven years. He taught third grade for three years and kindergarten for four years. When Nate is not teaching, he is an aspiring birder who loves the outdoors. He enjoys visiting parks, beaches, and national forests with his family.
