Situated in the heart of Charleston, this program is a beacon of advanced training and research in the State of South Carolina.

Goals:

  • Education: Equipping students with the vital skills and understanding needed for success in artificial intelligence, data science, and analytics.
  • Research: Pioneering the adoption of data science techniques across various academic and professional disciplines.
  • Innovation: Training professionals to leverage data in developing innovative solutions in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, digital healthcare, and environmental informatics.

Admission Criteria:

  • To get started in the program, we look for background preparation in four key areas:
    • Statistics
    • Linear Algebra
    • Calculus
    • Computer Programming
  • The first three areas (Statistics, Linear Algebra, or Calculus) should be covered by:
    • Coursework from any regionally accredited college or university.
  • Based on your qualifications:
    • Even if you do not have full competency in one of the three math areas, you may still be considered for conditional admission, with the requirement to complete an equivalent online course before the program begins.
  • For Computer Programming:
    • Competency can be demonstrated either through coursework or, alternatively, in your Statement of Purpose document by detailing relevant online courses, work experience, or projects. This alternative is especially relevant for applicants whose transcripts do not reflect formal coursework in programming.
