For Employers and Partners
Employ our Students
The department is more than happy to help employers recruit our students. The following are guidelines to all employers offering employment and/or internships opportunities for computer science students/alumni at the College of Charleston.
- According to Career Services Policies and Guidelines, all internships must indicate if they are paid or unpaid.
- Unpaid internships must meet the U.S. Department of Labor criteria.
- We do not offer course credit and due to demand, our computer science students receive paid internships, ranging from $20-35 per hour, within the industry.
- Please list the opportunities on Handshake, opening your reach to all College of Charleston students, recent graduates and alumni.
- Weekly searches for "computer science" jobs and internships will be generated and emailed directly to our current students on Monday afternoons.
- To receive updates, newsletters and our annual Resume Book (released in October) from the department, please contact Rebecca Utz.
- For additional questions, please contact Rebecca Utz.
Sponsor a Spring Capstone Project
Become a client for our Spring Capstone. Students work on a small Scrum team to create a full-stack product with your specifications. A capstone project is a great way to recruit students for internships and jobs. See some of our past capstone projects. If interested, contact Department Chair Dr. Renée McCauley.
