Career Center Internship Award (CCIA) Program
A free, academic year-long (fall and spring semesters) launchpad open to all rising sophomores and juniors through a required application process. The CCIA Program is designed to accelerate a student's ability to secure an internship and provides the opportunity to compete for a number of $1,000 monetary awards. Students selected through the application process who successfully complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion to include on their resumes and social media.
Program Overview
Students selected for CCIA will participate as a cohort throughout the fall and spring semesters in engaging group and individual sessions focused on securing an internship. Topics covered include resume development, interview preparation, networking, employer engagement, mentoring, and personalized coaching from the Career Center's Assistant Director for Career Development and Experiential Learning. Students will gain the skills, confidence, and connections needed to increase their likelihood of securing an internship.
In addition to regular professional development training and opportunities for employer engagement, students in the program can compete at the start of the spring semester for one of a number of $1,000 monetary awards. Students selected through the application process who successfully complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion to include on their resumes and social media.
