Digital Accessibility
What is Digital Accessibility?
Digital accessibility means ensuring that websites, applications, electronic documents, media, course materials, and other digital resources are designed, developed, procured, and maintained so they are accessible and usable by most people, including people with disabilities, in an equal and integrated manner. It reflects both a practice and a mindset: creating digital experiences that allow the widest possible audience to acquire information, engage in interactions, and access services. Digital accessibility supports the College’s mission and values by fostering inclusion, equity, and full participation in academic, administrative, and community life.
Digital accessibility is required by the College's Digital Accessibility Policy and federal law.
The College's Digital Accessibility Initiative (DAI) reflects our commitment not only to meeting federal requirements but also to fostering a more inclusive and supportive learning environment for everyone. Achieving this goal will require a shared responsibility across our community, with each of us playing an important role in ensuring that digital content meets accessibility requirements.
