Performance Highlights

Jonathan Wentz has designed and painted for theaters, theme parks, and university productions throughout the country. Collaborations include Adirondack Theatre Festival, Berkshire Theatre Group, Theatreworks/UCCS Presents, Shadowland Stages, The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, The Depot Theatre, Two River Theatre Company, Colorado Springs Fine Art Center, Cortland Repertory Theatre, Mills Entertainment, Long Bay Theatre, The Women’s Theatre Company of NJ, Oak Ridge Playhouse, and Adirondack Studios (FL) at Pandora: The World of Avatar (WDW Animal Kingdom).

He holds a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from Rochester Institute of Technology, studied scenography with Rutgers’ Mason Gross School of the Arts (where he interned with the Metropolitan Opera Company in NYC), earned his M.F.A. in Drama—Design & Production from UNC Greensboro, and earned a certificate for Excellence in Teaching from Harvard University's Bok Center.

Previously he was an adjunct faculty member at Caldwell University (NJ) and an Assistant Professor of Theatre at Coastal Carolina University (SC). A native of northwestern NY and a 30-year resident of northern New Jersey, he has called South Carolina home since 2019. Jonathan is a proud member of IATSE USA Local 829.
