HSS Student Experiential Learning Awards

HSS Internship Award
Two awards will be available to third-year students majoring within the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. Preference given to those with financial need.
Student Application -
HSS Student Research Award
Awards are offered to both graduate and undergraduate students majoring in a degree program in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS). The research awards are intended to support student research, such as buying supplies, paying for subscriptions, or paying research participants. This award is not intended for travel support.

HSS Student Travel Award
HSS Student Travel awards are offered to both graduate and undergraduate students majoring in a degree program in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS). The travel awards are intended to supplement funding for research, conference presentations and conference attendance acquired through other sources at the College of Charleston.

HSS Study Abroad Award
The School of Humanities and Social Sciences is pleased to offer a competitive scholarship to students who will enroll in one of the College of Charleston Study Abroad programs.

John Creed Award
The John Creed Award was established to provide rising juniors and seniors in the Political Science Department funding to pursue learning opportunities outside the College of Charleston classroom. Examples of learning opportunities include support for academic workshops, conference presentations, internships, and study abroad.

"The HSS Student Travel Award helped fund my travel to Boston for the regional conference of the Eastern Psychological Association, where I gained valuable experience in presenting research. While in Boston, our professor set up a visit to Harvard for students to see Phineas Gage’s skull!"
