Welcome to the School of Engineering, Computing, and Mathematics (SECM) at the College of Charleston!
We take pride in offering an array of innovative programs designed to prepare students for rewarding careers in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics and beyond.
Our educational approach blends rigorous STEM training with the rich tradition of the liberal arts. Students develop exceptional mathematical, computational, critical thinking and analytical skills alongside a robust foundation in the humanities, social sciences, history and foreign languages. This broad-based education equips our graduates to thrive in diverse organizational settings. Additionally, our students benefit from valuable opportunities such as internships, co-ops and study-abroad experiences.
At SECM, we are deeply committed to fostering diversity and inclusion. Recognizing the significance of global economies, we prioritize understanding and celebrating a wide spectrum of identities, cultures and contributions. We are dedicated to increasing minority representation and gender diversity, particularly within the field of engineering.
