B. Perry Woodside, III
Dr. Woodside is Director of the Dixon Hughes PLLC, Charleston Practice unit. Dixon Hughes is the largest CPA firm based in the Southeast.
Dr. Woodside has maintained a consulting practice with extensive experience in business valuations, personal and commercial economic loss, securities litigation, and many other areas of litigation support services. He has been qualified as an expert in finance and economics in family, state and federal courts and has testified in South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Delaware. He is a member of The Institute of Business Appraisers, Inc., and the National Association of Forensic Economists. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Economic and Financial Experts and is a founding member.
Dr. Woodside retired from the College of Charleston as Professor Emeritus in the School of Business, where he taught from 1987 to 2007. During his tenure at the College, he was the Director of the Carter Center for Real Estate, the Director of the South Carolina Economic Developers School, and the Managing Director of the Tate Center for Entrepreneurship.
Mr. Woodside received a Bachelor's degree from Furman University in Economics and Business Administration in 1968, an MBA from the University of South Carolina in 1970, and a Ph.D., also from the University of South Carolina, in 1978. He is married to Linda Woodside and has a son named Harrison.
