Eric Cox has an unparalleled level of experience and has done extensive work within the insurance industry; he is heavily involved with many insurance issues and is recognized as an insurance expert.  Cox has firsthand knowledge of the insurance business serving 16 years in the industry. He worked for The Prudential Insurance Company in Charleston as a sales representative.  Within his first year, he received the “Rookie of the Year” Award and qualified for the national business conference. He was promoted to Sales Manager of the Savannah, Georgia branch.  In Savannah, he was responsible for recruiting, training and daily operations of this branch.  Upon Cox’s return to the Charleston area, he joined New York Life Insurance Company as the sales manager.  In 2002, he became the senior partner and helped grow New York Life Insurance in Charleston into one of the most successful agencies in the nation.

In 2012, Cox started a new venture as president of the Atlantic Coast Advisory Group of Charleston.  With a full staff of experienced professions, the firm offers securities and investment advisory services through ING Financial Partners, Member SIPC.

In addition, he has served on the local board of the NAIFA, Vice-Chairman of The Charitable Society of Charleston and on the board for The Charleston Chapter of Campus Crusade for Christ. As a College of Charleston business alumnus, he serves as the Student Development Committee Chair on the Board of Governors. 

Cox graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1993 from the College.  He is married to Charlotte Lee McConnell and they have two children.
