Education

Ph.D. in Psychology, Louisiana State University

B.S. in Psychology, University of Georgia

Research Interests

My research interests include topics in Psycholinguistics – the interaction between language and the brain. I use behavioral and neuroimaging techniques to study linguistic relativity, specifically how native language influences motion event perception and encoding. I am also interested in language acquisition and examine how isolated acoustic and visual prosodic components of infant-directed speech influence segmentation and association of speech sounds during language learning.
