Directions to the School

Once you arrive at the School of Business, enter through the Beatty Center. Go up the stairs to the second floor, cross the bridge toward the Tate Center and walk through the double doors. You will be in the Tate Center, which houses the MBA classroom and staff offices.

Ron Magnuson provides strategic guidance and direction for the MBA program in alignment with the College’s mission and values. He is dedicated to working closely with faculty, staff and students to continuously strengthen and improve the program. Magnuson earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Bucknell University. He received an MBA from Mount St. Mary’s University and completed the Advanced Management Program from Wharton.

Seaton Brown '09 serves as the director of graduate admissions for the School of Business, leading the efforts to recruit and enroll students into the Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Accountancy programs. He meets with prospective students and oversees the admissions process by reviewing and admitting applicants. He is also responsible for managing scholarship and graduate assistantship opportunities. Brown earned his bachelor's degrees in business administration and hospitality & tourism management from the College of Charleston.

Erin O'Dea Halford is a certified career coach who enjoys helping people align their passion with purpose to land a successful and fulfilling career. Erin has 15+ years of experience coaching individuals and groups to identify their unique skills and qualifications and execute a plan to achieve their professional goals. She received her M.Ed. in counseling and B.A. from Providence College in Rhode Island and has worked for institutions including the Art Institute of Charleston and Northeastern University in Boston. Her areas of expertise include resume writing and branding materials, self-assessment and exploration, networking and community building skills, and interviewing and salary negotiation strategies.


Cathy Ficzner

Cathy Ficzner
Operations Manager

Cathy Ficzner performs logistical coordination, admissions, and marketing duties related to the MBA program. In addition, she works with the Executive Director of Continuing & Professional Education to coordinate continuing education operations. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management from Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio. She earned her Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. She brings 15+ years of Higher Education experience to the MBA program from four different institutions.


Erin Fornadel
Event Coordinator

Erin Fornadel '09 provides event and logistical support and planning for the MBA program and all programs within the School of Business. She earned her bachelor's degrees in arts management and hospitality & tourism management from the College of Charleston.
