The Office of Equal Opportunity Programs ensures College compliance with the following federal and state laws:

  • Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972
  • Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
  • South Carolina Human Affairs Law
  • Age Discrimination Act of 1975, as amended
  • Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
  • Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
  • Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 as amended

Purpose

These laws protect individuals from discrimination on the basis of protected classes. The College has developed Policies for equitable treatment to ensure compliance with these laws. Individuals who believe they have been subjected to illegal discrimination are encouraged to Contact Us at the Office of Equal Opportunity Programs for assistance in resolving the problem.
