Undergraduate Programs
It all begins with the English core. You’ll take six courses that introduce the field of English Studies, its history, the different disciplines and traditions it encompasses. You’ll study the role English has played, and continues to play, in shaping our modern world.
Beyond the core, English majors choose a concentration. You’ll take six additional courses in the area of the field that interests them most:
Alternatively, if your greatest interest lies in English education, you can combine your English major with coursework in the School of Education for a combined major in English and Secondary Education.
